A Sloth bear sighted at GHS Colony, Wokha: public are caution to be careful by Wokha district administration

Dimapur, October 19, (NE): It is reported that a sloth bear has been sighted at Government High School Colony Wokha town between 9:00 to 9:30 p.m. on 18th October 2019.

The district administration through Deputy Commissioner office has informed the public of Wokha town in general and the Government High School and surrounding colonies in particular to take precautionary measures and avoid human movement in nearby jungles and fields especially at night.

Further parents have been advised to restrict children from playing in isolated areas. Public has also been asked to keep their surroundings well lit.

A wildlife team from Dimapur and the forest department, Wokha are on the job to track and rescue the animal. Hence, the public of Wokha town has been requested to lend support to the concerned authorities.
