8th Horsepower Challenge 2019 from today at Kohima

Dimapur, November 21 (NE): The 8th Horsepower Challenge 2019-cum- 1st North East Championship 2019 started today at Kohima, which is being organized by Nagaland Adventure Club (NAC).

Altogether, 105 riders from Assam, Meghalaya, Tura, Mokokchung, Dimapur, Jowai and Delhi have joined this years Horsepower Challenge, out of which 72 participants in 4 the wheeler category and 33 in the 2 wheeler category. The finals will be on November twenty three, next. In an information, the North East part has been initiated in memory of a late founding member of the Club, Late Shri KK Rutsa, who was also very active in it.

It is pertinent to note that the motor sport event, initiated with a focus being Nagaland in a hilly terrain; secondly, due to various potholes as such including the road system in Nagaland – those signs create an opportunity for such motor event – as toughness are required for better endurance in such adventure sport. Moreover, NAC has garnered an International level of it’s own.
