7th Session Of The 13th Nagaland Legislative Assembly Adjourned Sine Die

Kohima, February 19 (NEx): After passing Nagaland Fiscal Responsibility and Budget Management (Amendment) Bill and the Nagaland Appropriation (No.1, No. 2, No. 3) Bill 2021 on the fifth day, the Speaker, Nagaland Legislative Assembly, Sharingain Longkumer adjourned the 7th Session of the 13th Assembly Sine Die today, February 19th, 2021.

The Speaker in his concluding remarks, acknowledged all the members of the House for their active participation and contribution towards the important duty of the legislators in formulating the plans and policies of the Government and ensuring that the state works continually for the welfare of its people.

He said that the discussion on the Naga Political Issues and the decisions and resolutions adopted during the current session were a huge milestone and would be remembered throughout the course of our history.

The Speaker expressed gratitude to all the Legislators led by the Leader of the House Neiphiu Rio and Leader of Opposition T.R. Zeliang and to all the government officials who contributed in various capacities to ensure that the 7th session of the 13th Assembly was conducted successfully.

On the fifth day, the house deliberated on the budget 2021-22 presented by the Chief Minister and Minister in-charge of Finance, Neiphiu Rio. The Annual Administrative Reports of various departments were also laid down by the Chief Minister.

The Nagaland Fiscal Responsibility and Budget Management (Amendment) Bill and the Nagaland Appropriation (No.1, No. 2, No. 3) Bill 2021 was also tabled and passed on Friday, February 19, 2021.
