Dimapur, January 26 (NE): On January Twenty Five, Dimapur Police apprehended two persons namely – (i) Vikheho Sema and (ii) Boto Kiba from DDSC Stadium area near Hotel Rajvir, Dimapur for illegally possessing one .32 pistol (Country made) along with one magazine.
According to an official press release from Dimapur Police, it said that a case has already been registered at West Police Station, Dimapur in this regard.
Again, on January Twenty Five, Dimapur Police apprehended two persons namely – (i) Kheto Sumi and (ii) Katoshe Yeptho from Amar Mill area in Ghorapatti area for illegally possessing one .22 pistol (Country made) and one magazine. Accordingly, a case has been registered at West Police Station, Dimapur too.
In yet another similar news, Dimapur Police on January Twenty Five, has apprehended one person namely, Vinato P/Add – Shikavi village, Dhansiripar from Peace Camp Dhansiripar area for collecting illegal tax from sand carrying trucks in the name of NSCN (IM) and recovered/seized cash amount of Rupees Eight Hundred from his possession.
A case has been registered at Sub-Urban (SBN) Police Station, Dimapur.
On the same day, January Twenty Five, Dimapur Police has apprehended two extortionists from Padumpukhuri area, opposite NRL Petrol Pump, Dimapur for illegal collecting yearly vehicle tax from truck drivers in the name of NSCN(U), Rs.2000/- per truck, and on checking/frisking, cash amount of Rs.5200/- were recovered from their possession.
The accused were identified as – namely – (i) Peter Khing SS Khapur of NSCN (U) of Logwesunyui village, Tseminyu, Kohima, P/Add- Church colony, Niuland and
(ii) James Bukh SS Khapur of NSCN (U) of Logwesunyui village, Tseminyu, Kohima, P/Add- Church colony, Niuland.
In this regards, a case has been registered at East Police Station Dimapur.
Today on January Twenty Six, one unidentified male dead body (around 40-45 yrs) suspected to be from Garo Community was found near inner main entrance at platform, Railway Station, Dimapur. The cause of death is likely to be due to illness and no injury mark(s) could be ascertained. The deceased dead body was later shifted to District Hospital Morgue for post-mortem examination and identification.
Claimant/relatives/friends of deceased are hereby requested to contact Officer-in-Charge /GRPS, Dimapur, added in the official press release today.
