5 Representatives from Nagaland in the Delhi Police Special Unit For North East Region

Dimapur, January 15 (NEx): The Delhi Police put out the lists of Delhi Police North East Representative 2021; a special unit committed to serve the NorthEast community residing in the capital and work towards an inclusive ecosystem.

A total of 36 names of Delhi Police North East Representative for 2021 have been put out on Thursday, which includes police personnel from 8 North Eastern States in India.

Among this, Five police representatives from Nagaland is part of Special Police Unit for North East Region (SPUNER). Hinoto P Aomi, Vitso Rio, Mhasilenuo Keditsu, Kelhusilie Nagi, Chubalemla Chang are the representatives from Nagaland.

The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) in 2014 constituted a committee under the chairmanship of MP Bezbaruah, a member of the North-Eastern Council, which led to the establishment of the SPUNER unit of Delhi Police.

The unit helps the people of North East in times of distress. The SOS measure has been well received and many from the North East have found it helpful and effective.

Apart from distress calls, SPUNER works 24/7 for safety and security of North East people, including accident cases, helping conduct of post-mortem at hospitals, free medical check-up and other activities.
