4384 vehicles penalized in Kohima for violation of ‘Odd-Even’ traffic rule

A total of 4,384 vehicles have been penalized by Kohima Police till Thursday, November 19, 2020 for violation of “Odd-Even” rule

Kohima, November 20 (NEx): A total of 4,384 vehicles have been penalized by Kohima Police till Thursday, November 19, 2020 for violation of “Odd-Even” rule, updated Kohima police today.

According to an order issued by Deputy Commissioner, Kohima, the ‘Odd-Even’ system for movement of private vehicles, including Public Transport (Taxis and City Buses), has been imposed till November 30, 2020, under the jurisdiction of Kohima Municipal areas, except on Sundays.

Odd-Even traffic rule has been imposed in the interest of public safety and to minimize non-essential movement of vehicles and for better traffic management in Kohima Municipal areas.

Kohima Police also urged the citizens to comply with the “Odd-Even” rule currently enforced in Kohima.
