4.2 Magnitude Earthquake Hits Mokokchung In Nagaland

Kohima, March 21 (NEx): An earthquake of magnitude 4.2 on the Richter scale occurred 77 km South East of Mokokchung in Nagaland at 10:06 am on Sunday, March 21, 2021, the National Centre for Seismology said in an official statement.

The depth of the quake was 10 km while the coordinates of the epicentre are 25.85 (latitude) and 95.08 (longitude), added the NCS report.

According to sources, tremors were felt in other parts of the state as well. Meanwhile, there is no report of any damage due to the quake at the time of filing this report. More details awaited.
