290 returnees from Bengaluru reaches Nagaland in a special train

Dimapur, July 09 (NEx): A special train which departed from Bengaluru on July 6, 2020 with 290 returnees reached Dimapur railway station in Nagaland this morning at around 08:20 am.

The 290 returnees comprising of 137 from Dimapur and Peren district, 37 from Mon, 19 from Tuensang, 17 from Longleng, 18 from Kiphire, 4 from Phek, 24 from Zunheboto, 4 from Mokokchung, 16 from Wokha and 14 from Kohima, stated a DIPR report.

Team Dimapur led by Deputy Commissioner Dimapur, Anoop Kinchi IAS received the Returnees. On arrival, Dimapur and Peren district Returnees were taken to Agri expo for further necessary protocols before sending them to the government Quarantine Centers.

Returnees from the rest of the District of Nagaland on arrival at Dimapur railway station underwent thermal screening at the medical counter, also food packets were provided to them. After this, they have been transported to their respective districts by NST buses accompanied by their Liaison officer.

It may be mentioned that 49 Returnees from Manipur (Senapati district) also came in the same train. Team Dimapur provided food packets and water to the Manipur Returnees and they were also transported to their State in special buses arranged by Manipur government.
