Kohima, June 28 (NE): The COVID-19 positive cases in Nagaland crosses 400 mark as twenty five (25) new COVID-19 positive cases detected today, June 28, 2020.

Taking to twitter Nagaland Health Minister S Pangnyu Phom said, out of 609 samples tested for COVID-19, twenty five (25) new positive cases were confirmed.

Out of the 25 positive cases for COVID-19, 20 patients are from Dimapur Quarantine Centre, 3 from Kohima Quarantine centre and 2 from Peren Quarantine centre- tweeted Pangnyu at 09:40 am today.

With twenty five (25) new COVID-19 positive cases, the total number of confirmed cases rises from 375 to 412 today. Among the confirmed cases, 164 patients have recovered from COVID-19 taking the active cases in the state to 248, updated Health Minister.

Among the 248 active COVID-19 cases in Nagaland, 55 patients are undergoing treatment at Dimapur, 69 at Kohima, 35 at Mon, 82 at Peren, 3 at Tuensang, 3 at Zunheboto and 1 at Phek district.

Meanwhile, 14 frontline workers have been tested positive for COVID-19 in Nagaland. On Saturday, June 27, 2020, nine (9) DEF jawans were tested positive for COVID-19 from Mon district. Mon district is under total lockdown till July 5, 2020. Contact tracing is currently underway.

Earlier, five (5) positive cases of local transmission were reported on June 25, 2020, out of which four (4) are bus drivers on quarantine centre duty (including private and govt drivers) and one (1) is a staff at NHAK.
