1st Chathe River Festival held at Dimapur

Dimapur, January 2 (NE): Eight talented artistes from Nagaland came together to perform at the first Chathe River Festival, which was successfully organized by Abiogenesis and powered by TaFMA on the evening of December Thirty, 2019. The location was at Howey Jungle, a new venue in Dimapur set up by Abiogenesis at Chathe Riverside in Nihoto. Madhurkankana Roy, Regional Director, ICCR Guwahati Regional Office, graced the occasion as Guest of Honour.

In a press release, it informed that Moa Subong of Abiogenesis spoke and welcomed everyone to the event and thereafter gave the mic to Kashito Kiba, a renowned musician from Dimapur and host for the show. Bovito Swu, an underground rapper was the first performer for the evening. Richard, a singer cum songwriter from Dimapur was the next artiste who sang two songs with his acoustic guitar. Next was Psycho K4, a rapper from Dimapur who recently bagged the Best Music Video Awards of Nagaland 2019. Kahito Chishi, sang two songs accompanied by an acoustic guitarist. Three rappers, Tensawati from Dimapur, Avesu Chuzho from Kohima and Sudu Rhax from Dimapur who was one of the youngest hip hop artiste to be featured in VH1 factory first presented a solo each and three of them performed one song together with 8 Mics. The last performer for the festival was Aloke Yepthomi, a renowned singer from Nihoto who sang a cover, Have You Ever Seen the Rain by CCR to wind off the festival.
