Dimapur, September 18: In a late landslide report from Zunheboto; 17 Houses and some properties were damaged, out of which 4 houses were totally damaged and several school going children were affected due to landslide in two colonies at Zunheboto on Monday evening (September 16, 2019).
For the past three weeks, the denizens of Zunheboto has been facing lots of hardships due to unprecedented rainfall which led to massive landslide at Alahuto Colony and DC Hill Colony, Zunheboto town. However, there is no report of causalties and injury to the inhabitants of the town.
Upon receiving the report of landslide, the District Administration led by Deputy Commissioner, Peter Lichamo immediately conducted spot verification on 16th September 2019 in the presence of GBs and ward council members and took stock of the situation, wherein, the four affected families were shifted to temporary arranged houses and the district administration has also released relief fund to all the affected families under NSDMA.
