100 Nagaland Bamboo byproducts to market nationally and internationally through Tribes India

Dimapur, September 29 (NE): Tribes India is collaborating with Nagaland Bamboo Mission inorder to market hundred byproducts of Bamboo both nationally and internationally.

“Tribes India”, is a Government of India Initiative under Ministry of Tribal Affairs for the welfare of over 700 Indian tribes. It is a tribal products marketing brand of Tribal Cooperative Marketing Development Federation of India Ltd (TRIFED).

Recently, the TRIFED team during their state visit met Nagaland DUDA along with SHGs . The team has also identified more than one hundred fifty items to add to the tribes India sourcing list from Nagaland Tribal SHGs. TRIFED team also visited Nagaland Bamboo Resource Center at Sovima, Dimapur in this regard.
Tribes India and Nagaland Honey Mission would collaborate to produce thirteen varieties of Honey, according to an information received here.

It is pertinent to note that the TRIFED has also sign an MoU with DUDA, Government of Nagaland to launch various tribal Seva Kendra under its schemes to promote tribal items.
