Kohima, June 25 (NE): The Deputy Commissioner of Mon, Thavaseelan K, IAS has enforced total lockdown in Mon District, Nagaland for four (4) days starting from today, June 25, 2020 in light of certain emergency circumstances and with a view to contain the spread of COVID-19 in the district.
An order issued by Deputy Commissioner said that, total lockdown is enforced in Mon district from June 25 to June 28, 2020 with the following conditions;
*Movement of public strictly prohibited except on medical emergency.
*All shops except pharmacies will remain closed.
*Movement of private vehicles strictly prohibited.
Any person violating the order will be penalised under the relevant provision of the law, said the order issued on Wednesday, June 24, 2020.
Deputy Commissioner requested the people of Mon to comply with the order.
Meanwhile, a report received by NagalandExpress said that, one DEF Jawan posted for duty at Quarantine centre Mon District where Chennai returnees are kept is been detected with high fever, bodyache and headache so testing of swap was done through a TrueNet Testing and is detected positive.
While confirming the same, DC Mon, said that the sample has been sent to ICMR Dibrugarh for final confirmation. The results are awaited, he added.
