Kohima, May 12 (NE): After nearly seven weeks lockdown, Indian Railways resumes its operations today, May 12, 2020 with 15 special trains from New Delhi to various cities in India.
‘Super Fast Special Train’ (No: 02424/02423) between New Delhi and Dibrugarh is one among the 15 special trains announced by Indian Railways to start its journey from today.
The daily special train between New Delhi to Dibrugarh (No:02424) is scheduled to start from New Delhi on Tuesday, May 12, 2020 at 04:45 pm.
Dibrugarh to New Delhi (Train No: 02423) is scheduled to start from Dibrugarh on May 14, 2020, at 09:10 pm.
The special train will stop at 12 stations en route – Kanpur Central, Prayagraj Jn., Pt. Dd Upadhyaya Jn, Danapur, Barauni Jn, Katihar Jn, New Jalpaiguri, Mariani, Kokrajhar, Guwahati, Lumding Jn, Dimapur.
The special train will have 20 coaches, consisting of one – AC first class coach, five- AC 2 tier coaches, Eleven – AC 3 tier coaches, One- AC Hot Buffet car and two – brake luggage-cum-generator cars.
Only E-ticket booking available through IRCTC website for these special trains. Ticket booking counters at the railway stations shall remain closed and no counter tickets (including platform tickets) shall be issued.
Only passengers with confirmed e-tickets are allowed to travel and enter in the railway station. Wearing face cover / mask at entry and during the journey is mandatory.
All passengers shall be compulsorily screened and only asymptomatic passengers are allowed to board the train.
Passengers will have to reach the station at least 90 minutes in advance to facilitate thermal screening at the station.
The movements of the passengers as well as the driver of the vehicle transporting passengers to and from the railway station shall be allowed on the basis of confirmed e-ticket.
During the boarding and traveling all passengers will have to observe social distancing. Further, on arrival at their destination, traveling passengers will have to adhere to health protocols as prescribed by the destination state/UT, said Standard Operating Protocol issued by MHA for movements of persons by train.
