Kohima, July 29 (NEx): The Commissioner & Secretary, Nagaland Legislative Assembly, Dr PJ Antony informed on deferment of the sixth session of 13th Nagaland Legislative Assembly which is scheduled for tomorrow, July 30, 2020, 09:30 am.
A press release issued by Commissioner & Secretary, NLA stated that, certain unforseen development have emerged promoting the deferment of the sixth session of 13th Nagaland Legislative Assembly which is scheduled for tomorrow, July 30, 2020, 09:30 am.
Further, it stated that, Hon’ble Governor has indicated August 13, 2020 for the deferred sitting of the sixth session of 13th Nagaland Legislative Assembly.
As per the protocol, ahead of one day session of Nagaland Legislative Assembly, scheduled for July 30, 2020, COVID-19 test for all the Hon’ble Ministers/Advisors/MLAs and the Officers and Staff of the Assembly Secretariat, was conducted from July 26 to 28, 2020. The results for a Legislator and staffs turned positive for COVID-19.
Deputy Commissioner and Chairman, District Task Force, Kohima, Gregory Thejawelie, NCS, today informed of 48 hours sealing of Nagaland Legislative Assembly Secretariat to the Principal Secretary, Home, in view of detection of 6 COVID positive cases among the staffs of NLA Secretariat.
Meanwhile, Advisor, Department of Horticulture and Border Affairs, Government of Nagaland, Mhathung Yanthan goes into home isolation after the test result turned positive for COVID-19.
The Advisor for Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Services and Women Resource Development, Government of Nagaland, R Khing tested negative for COVID-19, but inspite of the result being negative, he went into self Quarantine as two of his support staffs tested COVID positive.
