Kohima, January 08 (NEx): Along with the rest of the country, second round of COVID-19 vaccination dry run is conducted in Nagaland on Friday, January 08, 2021.
Nagaland Health Minister S Pangnyu Phom today informed that, Nagaland conducted another round of COVID-19 vaccination dry run in the remaining districts with over 31 sessions today.
Earlier on January 02, 2021, dry run for COVID-19 vaccination was conducted successfully in the District Hospital Dimapur, CHC Medziphema and Urban PHC Duncan Bosti under Dimapur.
Today’s dry run sessions were held under close supervision by the district, state officials and development partners, Nagaland Health Minister informed. The nationwide dry run exercise is being done to understand the best way to administer the vaccine and to prepare the administration for the final vaccination drive also testing of Co-WIN IT system.

It is important to note that India’s drugs regulator recently approved Oxford COVID-19 vaccine Covishield, manufactured by the Serum Institute, and the indigenously developed Covaxin of Bharat Biotech for restricted emergency use in the country.
