Rs 10,000 One-time Assistance form closed, 3679 persons opt to stay back

Kohima, May 16 (NE): The Principal Secretary, Home, Abhijit Sinha, while briefing on COVID-19 on May 16, 2020 for Nagaland said that there is no positive cases of COVID-19 reported in the state.

The form for One-Time Assistance of Rs 10,000 to the returnee applicants closed today at 07:00 pm. As of 4:30 pm today, a total of 3,679 citizens of Nagaland presently outside the State, has opted for staying back at their respective places, and filled up the required form for availing the One-time Assistance for Rs 10,000, added Sinha.

It is reported that a total of 18,255 stranded citizens of Nagaland has submitted returnee form to return to Nagaland.

On COVID-19 status in the state, Sinha said that, as of 4 pm today, a total of 917 samples have been sent for testing from the State. The results of 891 samples have been received and all have been tested negative. The results for the remaining 26 samples are awaited. In addition a total of 25 samples have been tested by Truenat machines and all have been tested negative.

He further informed that today, a total of 3943 persons have been screened and a total of 1073 persons are under Facility Quarantine.

Regarding the arrival of stranded people into Nagaland from other North Eastern States, he informed that a total of 1,314 persons have already arrived till date.
