Kohima, May 10 (NE): The online returnees declaration form for the stranded citizens outside Nagaland which was opened on May 08, 2020 will close on Monday, May 11, 2020.
A pop up notice on Nagaland government official website https://iamstranded.nagaland.gov.in read out- ‘the Returnee declaration form will close on May 11, 2020, 12:00 noon.’
The Principal Secretary, Home, Abhijit Sinha, IAS, while briefing on COVID-19 status in the state said that, as on Sunday, May 10, 2020, 04:00 pm, more than 15,500 persons have applied and have requested government arrangement for transportation to return to Nagaland.
The returnees form was opened to register for the stranded citizens of Nagaland on May 08, 2020, 12:00 noon onwards. Taking to twitter, Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio said that the State Government will pay for the arrangements it makes for the journeys within the state and from outside.
The stranded citizens of Nagaland in different parts of the country, who are desirous of returning to the state can submit the online returnee declaration form available in Nagaland government’s official website https://iamstranded.nagaland.gov.in till May 11, 2020, 12 noon.
Citizens stranded outside Nagaland who wants to return to Nagaland through government arrangements also who wants to travel back in their own arrangements can register.
Special trains/Buses as per the requirement will be arranged to bring back the stranded people after sorting out the data of the applicants, said Neiba Kronu, Minister, Planning & Coordination, Land Revenue and Parliamentary Affairs, on May 08, 2020.
Returned citizens will have to undergo mandatory quarantine in government quarantine centre for 21 days, informed the government.
The nCOVID19 Nagaland and Aarogya Setu mobile app had been made mandatory for all the returnees.
Further, returnee shall not be allowed to leave Nagaland for any reason until the lockdown is completely lifted.
