Prominent Naga writer Kaka D Iralu laid to rest

Kohima, April 10 (NE): Prominent Naga writer, Kaka Dierhekolie Iralu, s/o, Late Zakielie Iralu laid to rest early this morning, April 10, 2020 at his home in Medziphema.

Kaka D Iralu passed away at the age of 64, after a prolonged illness at Referral hospital, Dimapur on Thursday, April 09, 2020.

During the funeral, his son Deize Iralu recalls his last day on earth and quoted him saying “Devastation period is over, Restoration and Healing started. Tomorrow will be my restoration day”.

Kaka Iralu is credited for his famous books ‘The Naga Saga’, ‘Nagaland and India: The Blood and The Tears’, and many more on Indo-Naga political history and related issues. He was also a prominent voice of the Naga Political movement.

Many people, organizations and federations from across the state and beyond mourn the sudden demise of Kaka D Iralu, and pray to grant peace and solace to the bereaved family members and relatives.
