Kohima, April 08 (NEx): The Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi got the second dose of COVID-19 vaccine at AIIMS today, April 8th, 2021. He took the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine on March 1st, 2021.
Announcing about his second dose of vaccine today, Modi said, ‘Vaccination is among the few ways we have, to defeat the virus’ and he urged all those who are eligible for the vaccine to get their shot soon.

In India, a total of 8,83,72,277 vaccine doses have been administered, as per the provisional report on April 7th, 2021, while in Nagaland a total of 10,2451 vaccine doses were administered till April 7th, 2021.
