Dimapur, December 11 (NE): The Naga Students Federation (NSF), in a Press Release expressed it’s appreciation at the official notification issued by the Government of Nagaland for extension of Inner line to cover the entire district of Dimapur.
Extension of ILP regime to cover the entire state of Nagaland has been the long standing demand of the NSF in our sincere bid to protect the rich culture, traditions, customs and practices of the indigenous people from the influx of illegal immigrants in the state, added in the release.
The NSF, appreciates the Government of Nagaland led by Hon’ble Chief Minister, Neiphiu Rio and Deputy Chief Minister, Y Patton for the policy decision which will go a long way in protecting the rights of the Indigenous people of the state and holds posterity in good stead, it added.
The NSF also acknowledges the visionary wisdom and contributions of the seniors who initiated this journey and carried the torch forward, and to all who walked along with the federation throughout this journey until the light of this historic day is seen.
Further, the NSF through the press release, appealed to the state government to put in place a robust system so as to ensure that the ILP law is implemented in letter and in spirit for which NSF assures the government of fullest support and co-operation.
