NPF appeals the govt. to monitor Dimapur railway station & availability of face mask and hand sanitizers

Kohima, March 16 (NE): The Naga People’s Front (NPF) expressed its concern over the rise of the pandemic Covid19 all over the world, particularly even in India day by day, said a press release issued by NPF on March 16, 2020.

The party appreciated the Government of the Day for taking up efforts for the preventive measures in the state and feels that more and stringent effort is required to check and prevent that not a single case of Covid-19 is reported from our state. The virus which is infecting human races like a wild fire all over the world should be tackled collectively, it added.

The party appeals the Government to install a Covid-19 test Centre even in Nagaland as Guwahati test Centre is the only nearest centre available for the Nagaland state, which is difficult for the citizens of Nagaland to avail the facility for distance and other reasons.

The NPF feels it necessary to point out that the Dimapur Railway station should be minutely monitored as thousands of visitors travel every day and hundreds of people are coming to Nagaland through the station, which is very vulnerable.

The party also urged the Government to check the supply and availability of face masks and hand sanitizers as it is reported that the price of the two items has sky-rocketed. Therefore, the Government agencies should put its effort to curtail down the price rise.

The NPF party called upon the state Government to give its best efforts to educate the people even to the remotest areas about the safety measures and expressed hope that the Government is well equipped with all modern technologies, added the press release.

Meanwhile, the NPF also called upon the citizens not to remain in fear but appeal every Naga believers to uphold one another in prayers so that Almighty God will save us from the pandemic Covid-19.
