No backdoor appointment, no corruption & no missing of scholarship in our department: Shri Temjen Imna Along

Kohima, March 04 (NE): Highlighting the development and transparency under the PDA government led by Chief Minister Shri Neiphiu Rio, Shri Temjen Imna Along, Minister for Higher & Technical Education and Tribal Affairs, Government of Nagaland, said there is no backdoor appointment, no corruption & no missing of students scholarship in the Higher & Technical Education and Tribal Affairs.

Speaking at the ‘Interactive Digital Smart Board for Smart Classroom’ inaugural programme, organised by the Department of Higher Education at Kohima Science College (Autonomous) Jotsoma, today, March 04, 2020, Temjen Imna congratulates the students who are going to use the first of its kind- Interactive Smart Boards for Smart Classrooms in the government colleges of Nagaland.

This initiative is a first of its kind in the Northeast also, where a state government has taken the initiative under CSI activities for the students. He further assured that it is in no way manipulated, corrupted, or put in any way that you may think after the program is over, in social media people saying – “Kiman khaishe…. kiman modot kurishe” and all those kind of things is not at all there, he added.

He thanked the Government led by Hon’ble Chief Minister under whose leadership, after many many years, the Higher & Technical Education sector has been given importance and provisions.

He also assured that Higher & Technical Education Department and brand new born Tribal Affairs Department will endeavor to give the best and deliver the best. Higher & technical education department will no longer be the same and it is in for a transformation, Temjen Imna added.

We have no backdoor appointments since PDA government took over the office, he said addressing to the Chief Minister. We have no confidential appointments, other than what is needed and which had been given. Corruption is zero in our institutions and maintenance money is not eaten by the ministers neither by the principals nor by any student’s body. We are trying our best to brandish our H&TE department and our institutions to the best.

Taking a jibe at the past government, Imna said, no scholarship has been stolen by anybody. We want the students to be confident of the government and the initiatives of the directorates of the department. All those things that have been mismanaged in the past is a story of the past so kindly don’t harass us today in the present, he added.

Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio launched the Interactive Smart Board in the presence of Minister for Health and Family Welfare, S Pangnyu Phom, Minister for PWD (Housing & Mechanical), Tongpang Ozukum, Advisors, Govt. College Principals, faculties along with other officials.
