Kohima, November 10 (NEx): The candidate of Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP), Medo Yhokha won the bye-election to 14- Southern Angami – I Assembly Constituency seat with a margin of 598 votes. Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio congratulated Yhokha for the victory.
Medo Yhokha won the 14-Southern Angami-1 constituency with 4773 votes and with a vote share of 41.11%.
Seyievilie Peter Zashumo an independent candidate from 14 Southern Angami-I Constituency was placed second with 4175 votes, and 35.96% vote share.
Naga People’s Front (NPF) candidate Kikovi Kirha got 2575 votes with a vote share of 22.18%
NOTA (None of the above) constituted 0.76 of total votes polled, with 88 votes.

Voting for the Bye-Election to 14 Southern Angami – 1 constituency was held on November 03, 2020. A total of 84.41% voters casted their vote, informed the Election Commission.
