NDPP clarifies on showcause notice to Vycato S. Aye

Dimapur, March 03 (NE): The Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) clarifies on a recent showcause notice to its Youth Wing Vice President, Shri Vycato S. Aye.

“In view of the news that is being circulated, it is hereby clarified that the NDPP has not issued a showcause notice to Mr. Vycato S. Aye but sought clarification from him on the matter. The inadvertent error is regretted.” – unquote.

A notification issued by NDPP Spokesperson, Shri Merentoshi R. Jamir on Monday, March 2, said that the earlier order stands cancelled but only required to sought clarification from the said person on matters regarding which will be discussed only with him.

Vycato, had lodged a complaint at state Lokayukta on February 19, 2020 against Nagaland Deputy CM Y. Patton alleging of rampant backdoor appointment of constables in the state police Department. In response to the complaint received, Nagaland Lokayukta has ordered a preliminary inquiry to be conducted by the Chief Minister, and asked to submit report in the form of an affidavit before the next date of hearing.

It is important to note that Mr. Vycato has been coming out openly in the media highlighting various reasons going on in particularly about Nagaland. It seems that they want to put the matter there so as the current Government can focus more on developmental works. It will be interesting to see in the coming days of what more will come as Shri Vycato had become the headline in social media platforms for quite sometime now.
