Kohima, January 15 (NEx): A clinical Nagaland thrashed Sikkim by 100 runs to register their second win in the Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 clash at the IC-Gurunanak College Ground, Chennai in the Plate Group match on Friday, January 15, 2021.
Sikkim won the toss and elected to field. Batting first, Nagaland team scored 176 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in 20 overs. In reply, Sikkim bowled out for 76 runs in 14.2 overs.
For Nagaland, captain, Rongsen Jonathan scored 56 runs in 39 balls, Chetan Bist – 13 runs from 16 balls, Shrikant Mundhe – 54 runs from 28 balls, Stuart Binny – 30 runs from 16 balls and Hokaito Zhimomi (Not Out) – 21 runs from 21 balls, taking the team total to 176 for the loss of 4 wickets in 20 overs, with a run rate of 8.8.
Batting second, Sikkim bowled out for 76 runs in 14.2 overs. Nagaland’s Khrievitso Kense took 3 wickets, Stuart Binny, Nagaho Chishi, Shrikant Mundhe, Tahmeed Rahman, Joshua Ozukum took one wicket each and two run out restricted the Sikkim team to 76 runs in 14.2 overs.
