Kohima, May 18 (NEx): Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio on Tuesday, informed that the Government will be establishing a new full-fledged 176 bed COVID Hospital in Dimapur and emergency care facilities for the medical fraternity.
The Chief Minister informed this during his message to the people of Nagaland on COVID-19 situation on Tuesday, May 18, 2021.

“Nation is in the midst of the second wave of COVID-19 pandemic, the whole country has been adversely affected and thousands of precious lives been lost. I extend my deepest condolences and heartfelt pain to the bereaved families of all those that lost their loved ones. It’s a very painful time for every citizen.”
“These are extraordinary times. We need to come together and work unitedly. Our state needs all of us, to pull all our forces together and take every possible action to combat the challenges that lie ahead.”
“The state government is making all-out efforts to protect and care for our citizens. We have made significant investments, resulting in improvements and up-gradation in our health care facilities, strengthening health related human resources.”
“We will be establishing a new full-fledged 176 bed COVID Hospital in Dimapur and emergency care facilities for the medical fraternity. We are ramping up vaccination drive with procurement of more vaccines.”
“I appeal to all sections – Church
organizations, Tribal hohos, Civil society groups, Political parties and NGOs, to rise to the occasion, set aside our differences and collectively work as members of one team for the sake of our people”.

They have been working day and night, making significant sacrifices & taking great risks to keep us safe & healthy. “We are presently in a situation of lockdown, which is creating tremendous inconvenience, however we are all aware that this extraordinary scenario demands it that we should be prepared that the lockdown may even need to be extended if the situation required”.
“I seek the cooperation of everyone; ensure that lockdown regulations are not compromised for our own safety and health. We have to be extra cautious and extremely vigilant so that the disease doesn’t spread to rural areas.”
