Nagaland State Transport (NST) bags ASRTU’s road safety award for lowest rate of accidents

Kohima, January 16 (NE): Nagaland State Transport (NST) has been adjudged as the winner in the category of ‘Hill’ of the Transport Minister’s Road Safety award 2018 – 2019 for lowest rate of accidents from Association of State Road Transport Undertakings (ASRTU) New Delhi, informed a notification from ASRTU on January 14, 2020.

Announcing this achievement the Transport Minister Shri P Paiwang Konyak said, I give thanks to Jesus and to my dedicated officers, Mr. Elibemo Yanthan General Manager, Mr. Atovi & Shikaho, Additional GM and host of officers, drivers and Mechanics for serving the people with outmost sincerity and dedications.

The award will be presented during the International Conference and Exhibition on Public Transport Innovation (ICEPTI) 2019 to be held at Manekshaw center, New Delhi from January 30 to 31, 2020.

The Executive Director ASRTU, Capt VV Ratnaparkhi, congratulated the NST team for the distinguish achievement, and also encouraged to continue with winning strides in coming days towards making safe public transport in the state and the country.
