Kohima, July 23 (NEx): Nagaland reported its highest single-day spike of (ninety) 90 COVID-19 positive cases today, July 23, 2020, taking the total count in the state to 1174, updated Nagaland Health Minister S Pangnyu Phom at 12:45 pm today.
Taking to twitter, Pangnyu Phom updated that, out of 237 samples tested, 90 new COVID-19 positive cases have been confirmed.
Among the new COVID-19 confirmed positive cases, 61 cases are in Kohima, 26 in Dimapur, 2 in Peren and 1 in Phek district – updates the Health Minister, today.

With 90 new cases, the total number of confirmed COVID-19 positive cases in Nagaland rises to 1178 today. Among the confirmed cases, 486 patients have recovered from COVID-19 and the active cases in the state now stands at 688. The state has not reported fatalities due to COVID-19.
Among the 688 active COVID-19 cases in Nagaland, 295 patients are undergoing treatment at Dimapur, 171 at Kohima, 91 at Mon, 93 at Peren, 10 at Tuensang, 9 at Phek and 6 at Mokokchung, 3 at Longleng, 8 at Zunheboto and 1 at Wokha district.
Kiphire district in Nagaland is the only COVID-19 free district with zero case till today.
