Kohima, June 22 (NE): Nagaland reported its highest single-day spike of COVID-19 positive cases as sixty nine (69) new COVID-19 positive cases today, June 22, 2020, taking the total count in the state to 280.
Out of 275 samples tested for COVID-19, sixty nine (69) new positive cases confirmed, said an update from Nagaland Health Minister S Pangnyu Phom at around 09:15 am today.
Out of the sixty nine (69) positive cases for COVID-19, sixty five (65) patients are from Peren quarantine centre, three (3) cases from Dimapur quarantine centre and one (1) from Zunheboto quarantine centre, tweeted Pangnyu.
Out of 275 samples tested, 69 new cases of COVID-19 +ve have been reported. 65 patients from Peren QC, 3 from Dimapur QC & 1 from Zunheboto QC.

With ten new COVID-19 positive cases, the total number of confirmed cases rises to 280 today. Among the confirmed cases, 141 patients have recovered from COVID-19 taking the active cases in the state to 139, updated Nagaland Health Minister, S Pangnyu Phom.
Meanwhile, the recovery rate dropped to 49% from 66% on Sunday, June 21, 2020.
All the COVID-19 cases reported in the state are among the stranded citizens of Nagaland who returned from across the country.
Among the 139 active COVID-19 cases in Nagaland, 19 patients are undergoing treatment at Dimapur, 21 at Kohima, 23 at Mon, 71 at Peren, 3 at Tuensang, 1 each at Zunheboto and Phek district.
