Kohima, June 12 (NE): Nagaland reported its highest single-day spike of COVID-19 positive cases, as twenty six (26) new COVID-19 cases reported today, June 12, 2020, taking the total count in the state to 156.
Out of 318 samples tested for COVID-19, 26 new positive cases confirmed, said an update from Nagaland Health Minister S Pangnyu Phom at 08:35 am today.
Among the 26 new COVID-19 positive cases, twenty three (23) cases were reported from Dimapur quarantine centre, two (2) from Kohima quarantine centre and one (1) from Peren quarantine centre.
Out of 318 COVID-19 samples test results received today, 251 samples were tested at Naga Hospital Authority Kohima and 67 at ICMR-RMRC, Dibrugarh, Assam.
With 26 new COVID-19 positive cases, total number of confirmed cases rises to 156. Among the confirmed cases, 30 patients have recovered from COVID-19 taking the active cases in the state to 126, updates Nagaland Health Minister, S Pangnyu Phom.
Another 9 new cases of COVID-19 +ve have been reported out of 251 samples tested at NHAK. 6 patients from Dimapur QC, 2 from Kohima QC & 1 from Peren QC.

Meanwhile, all five (5) patients undergoing treatment at COVID-19 District Hospital Tuensang has been tested negative for COVID-19, said a press release from Deputy Commissioner Tuensang on Thursday. All five positive cases were among the returnees from Chennai.
