Nagaland reports 40 new COVID-19 positive cases, State tally at 956, informed Nagaland Health Minister S Pangnyu Phom on July 17, 2020

Kohima, July 17 (NEx): Nagaland reported 40 new COVID-19 positive cases today, July 17, 2020, taking the total confirmed cases in the State to 956. Also, 14 more patients recovered from COVID-19 in Nagaland, informed Nagaland Health Minister, S Pangnyu Phom.

Taking to twitter Pangnyu Phom updated that, out of 146 samples tested, 40 new COVID-19 positive cases have been confirmed. Among the new COVID-19 positive reported, 39 cases are from Dimapur and 1 from Peren.

Also, 14 COVID-19 patients from Peren have been recovered. However, the recovered patients will be kept under strict surveillance- tweets Pangnyu.

With 40 new cases, the total number of confirmed COVID-19 positive cases in Nagaland rises to 956 today. Among the confirmed cases, 405 patients have recovered from COVID-19 and the active cases in the state now stands at 551. The state has not reported any fatalities due to COVID-19.

Among the 551 active COVID-19 cases in Nagaland, 218 patients are undergoing treatment at Dimapur, 106 at Kohima, 83 at Mon, 98 at Peren, 28 at Tuensang, 8 at Phek and 5 at Mokokchung, 2 at Longleng, 2 at Zunheboto and 1 at Wokha district.
