Kohima, October 17 (NEx): Nagaland reported 94 new COVID-19 positive cases today, October 17, 2020, taking the total count in the state to 7698, updated Health Minister Pangnyu Phom. Among the new cases detected, 55 cases were detected in Dimapur, 23 in Kohima, 09 in Mon, 03 in Zunheboto and 02 each in Peren & Mokochung, updated Pangnyu. Active cases stands at 1529.
94 +ve cases of #COVID-19 detected today.
Dimapur- 55, Kohima- 23, Mon- 9, Zunheboto- 3, Mokokchung- Peren 2 each.
Also, 30 +ve patients have recovered.
Dimapur- 22, Kohima- 8.

Also, the state reported 30 recoveries from COVID-19 today, out of which, 22 patients recovered from Dimapur and 08 from Kohima, updated the Health Minister. Total recovery tally stands at 6076.
Out of the new positive cases reported in the State today, 09 positive cases are among Armed Force personnel/security personnel, 04 returnees and 80 traced contacts and 01 frontline worker were tested positive for COVID-19, updated the daily COVID bulletin.
Out of the total positive cases in the state, 3436 positive cases are among the Armed Force personnel, which is around 45% of the total tally, 1597 cases are returnees/travellers accounting to 21%, 2284 are traced contacts which is 29% of total cases and 381 front line workers at 05%. As per the severity of symptoms, 1469 active cases are asymptomatic and among the symptomatic, 43 active cases are mild, 12 cases are moderate on oxygen and 01 severe on oxygen, 02 patients are in critical condition in ICU with oxygen and 02 are in critical condition in ICU on ventilator.
So far, the State has reported twenty one (21) deaths of COVID-19 patients. Six (6) deaths of COVID-19 patients are not COVID-19 related and one (1) death case is under investigation while 65 cases of COVID-19 are migrated, informed Nagaland Health and Family Welfare Department.
