Kohima, October 10 (NEx): Nagaland reported 61 new COVID-19 positive cases today, October 10, 2020, taking the total count in the state to 6949, updated Health Minister Pangnyu Phom. Among the new cases detected, 12 cases were detected in Dimapur, 43 in Kohima, 02 each in Longleng & Tuensang and 01 each in Peren & Mokokchung, updated Pangnyu. Active cases stands at 1232.
61 +ve cases of #COVID-19 detected today.
Kohima- 43, Dimapur- 12, Tuensang- Longleng 2 each, Mokokchung-Peren- 1 each.
Also, 33 patients have been recovered.

Also, the state reported 33 recoveries from COVID-19 today, out of which, 06 patients recovered from Kohima and 27 from Dimapur, updated the daily COVID bulletin by the department of Health and Family Welfare. Total recovery tally stands at 5635.
Out of the new positive cases reported in the State today, 06 positive cases are among Armed Force personnel, 06 returnees and 46 traced contacts and 03 frontline workers were tested positive for COVID-19, updated the daily COVID bulletin.
Out of the total positive cases in the state, 3184 positive cases are among the Armed Force personnel, which is around 46% of the total tally, 1551 cases are returnees/travellers accounting to 22%, 1848 are traced contacts which is 27% of total cases and 366 front line workers which sums at 05%. As per the severity of symptoms, 1173 active cases are asymptomatic, 46 active cases mild, 11 cases moderate, 01 patient is severe and 01 patient is critical in ICU on ventilator.
So far, the State has reported twelve (12) deaths of COVID-19 patients. Five (5) deaths of COVID-19 patients are not due to COVID-19 and six (6) death cases are under investigation while 59 cases of COVID-19 are migrated, informed Nagaland Health and Family Welfare Department.
