Kohima, September 18 (NEx): Nagaland reported 51 new COVID-19 positive cases today, September 18, 2020, taking the total count in the state to 5,357, updated Nagaland Health Minister S Pangnyu Phom today. Active cases stands at 1213.
Taking to Twitter, Pangnyu updated that 51 new COVID-19 positive cases has been confirmed in the State out of 544 sample results received today. Among the new cases detected, 23 cases are in Kohima, 20 in Dimapur, 4 in Mokokchung, 2 in Mon, 1 each in Peren and Tuensang district, informed Pangnyu.
Health minister also informed of 29 recoveries of COVID- positive patients, out of which, 14 are from Dimapur, 8 from Kohima and 7 from Mon. Total recovery tally stands at 4108.
Out of 544 results received 51 +ve cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed.
23 in Kohima, 20 in Dimapur, 4 in Mokokchung, 2 in Mon & 1 each in Peren & Tuensang.
Also, State reports 29 recoveries of COVID-19 patients.

The Principal Secretary, Home, GoN, while briefing on COVID-19, updated segregated data of COVID-19 positive cases reported in Nagaland till date. Out of the total 51 postive cases reported in the State today, 17 positive cases are among Armed Force personnel, 09 returnees, 24 traced contacts and 01 front line worker tested positive for COVID-19, it said.
With 51 new cases, the number of confirmed COVID-19 positive cases in Nagaland rises to 5357 today. Out of this, 2501 postive cases are among the Armed Force personnel, which is around 47% of the total tally and 343 front line workers which sums at 06%. As per the severity of symptoms, 1197 active cases are asymptomatic, 14 active cases are mild and 02 are moderate.
So far, the State has reported ten (10) deaths of COVID-19 patients. Five (5) deaths of COVID-19 patients are not due to COVID-19 and three (3) death cases are under investigation. 21 COVID-19 positive cases are migrated, informed Nagaland Health and Family Welfare Department.
