Kohima, September 16 (NEx): Nagaland reported 34 new COVID-19 positive cases today, September 16, 2020, taking the total count in the state to 5263, updated Nagaland Health Minister S Pangnyu Phom today. Active cases stands at 1261.
Taking to Twitter, Pangnyu updated that 34 new COVID-19 positive cases has been confirmed in the State out of 693 sample results received today. Among the new cases detected, 31 cases are in Dimapur, 2 in Mon and 1 in Kohima district, informed Pangnyu.
Health minister also informed of 25 recoveries among the COVID- positive patients, 23 are from Kohima and 1 each from Mon and Phek district. Total recovery tally stands at 3968.
Out of 693 results received 34 +ve cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed.
31 in Dimapur, 2 in Mon & 1 in Kohima.
Also, State reports 25 recoveries of COVID-19 patients.
23 from Kohima & 1 each from Mon and Phek.

The Principal Secretary, Home, GoN, while briefing on COVID-19 updates segregated data of COVID-19 positive cases reported in Nagaland till date. Out of the total 5263 postive cases reported in the State, 2481 positive cases are among Armed Force personnel, 1418 returnees, 1044 traced contacts and 320 front line workers were tested positive for COVID-19, it said.
With 34 new cases, the total number of confirmed COVID-19 positive cases in Nagaland rises to 5263 today. Out of this, 2481 postive cases are among the Armed Force personnel, which is around 47% of the total tally. As per the severity of symptoms, 1252 active cases are asymptomatic, 07 active cases are mild and 02 are moderate.
So far, the State has reported ten (10) deaths of COVID-19 patients. Out of this Five (5) deaths of COVID-19 patients are not due to COVID-19 and one (1) death case is under investigation. 19 COVID-19 patients are migrated from Nagaland state, informed Nagaland Health and Family Welfare Department.
