Nagaland records 32 new COVID positive cases & 66 recoveries on December 11

Kohima, December 11 (NEx): Nagaland reported 32 new COVID-19 positive cases today, December 11, taking the total count in the state to 11,634, updated Nagaland Health Minister S Pangnyu Phom today. Among the new cases detected, 18 cases were detected in Kiphire, 11 in Peren and 03 in Wokha, updated Pangnyu. Active cases stands at 629.

The state also reported 66 recoveries from COVID-19 today where 48 patients recovered from Kohima, 14 from Mon, 03 from Dimapur and 01 from Peren, updated the Health Minister. Total recovery tally stands at 10,812. Pangnyu also cautioned all to Wear Mask, Keep Distance and Stay Safe.

Among the new cases detected today, 18 cases are from among the traced contacts, 01 returnees/travellers, 11 among armed forces/ security personnel and 02 are frontline workers, updated the Health Department in its daily bulletin.

Out of the total positive cases in the state, 4629 positive cases are among the Armed Force personnel, which is 40% of the total tally, 1,813 cases are returnees/travellers accounting to 16%, 4634 are traced contacts which is 39% of total cases and 558 front line workers at 05%.

As per the severity of symptoms, 587 active cases are asymptomatic, and among the symptomatic, 27 active cases are mild, 08 active cases are moderate on oxygen, 01 active cases is severe on oxygen, 03 active cases are critical in ICU without oxygen and 03 are on ventilator. Also, 330 positive cases are under Home isolation in the state, the health department said.

So far, the State has reported sixty one (61) deaths of COVID-19 patients, Seven (7) deaths of COVID-19 are not related to COVID and three (3) death cases are under investigation and 122 cases of COVID-19 are migrated, informed Nagaland Health and Family Welfare Department.
