Kohima, October 19 (NEx): Nagaland reported 137 new COVID-19 positive cases today, October 19, 2020, taking the total count in the state to 7953, updated Health Minister Pangnyu Phom. Among the new cases detected, 114 cases were detected in Dimapur, 19 in Kohima, 02 in Mon and 01 each in Kiphire & Tuensang, updated Pangnyu. Active cases stands at 1652.
137 +ve cases of #COVID-19 detected today.
Dimapur- 114, Kohima- 19, Mon- 2, Tuensang- Kiphire- 1 each.
Also, 66 +ve patients have recovered.
Dimapur- 53, Kohima- 13.

Also, the state reported 66 recoveries from COVID-19 today, out of which, 53 patients recovered from Dimapur and 13 from Kohima, updated the Health Minister. Total recovery tally stands at 6207.
Out of the new positive cases reported in the State today, 59 positive cases are among Armed Force personnel/security personnel, 06 returnees and 70 traced contacts and 02 frontline workers were tested positive for COVID-19, updated the daily COVID bulletin.
Out of the total positive cases in the state, 3536 positive cases are among the Armed Force personnel, which is around 45% of the total tally, 1607 cases are returnees/travellers accounting to 21%, 2423 are traced contacts which is 29% of total cases and 378 front line workers at 05%. As per the severity of symptoms, 1581 active cases are asymptomatic and among the symptomatic, 51 active cases are mild, 11 cases are moderate on oxygen and 05 severe on oxygen, 01 patient is in critical condition in ICU with oxygen and 03 patients are in critical condition in ICU on ventilator.
So far, the State has reported twenty one (21) deaths of COVID-19 patients. Six (6) deaths of COVID-19 patients are not COVID-19 related and one (1) death case is under investigation while 66 cases of COVID-19 are migrated, informed Nagaland Health and Family Welfare Department.
