Nagaland govt. suspends biometric attendance system

Kohima, March 16 (NE): As part of the preventive measures to combat pandemic Covid-19 (Novel Coronavirus) government of Nagaland suspends the biometric attendance system in all the state government offices with immediate effect.

A notification by the Govt. of Nagaland, Home Department Secretariat Administration Branch said, as part of the preventive measures to stop the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19) the marking on Biometric attendance based on Aadhaar enabled Biometric Attendance System (AeBAS) is hereby suspended with immediate effect in all the state government offices and Nagaland Civil Secretariat till further orders.

During this period, all the AHODs / HODs shall take immediate steps to ensure that the employees mark their attendance in the attendance registers as done earlier, said the notification issued today, March 16, 2020.

This was decided in a high level review meeting chaired by Chief Minister, Neiphiu Rio on 16th March 2020 at the Nagaland Civil Secretariat, Kohima.
