Nagaland govt relaxes restriction orders for rural areas – Details

Kohima April 23 (NE): Nagaland Government relaxes lockdown restrictions on few activities mainly in rural areas. A fresh order issued today, April 23, 2020 through the office of the Chief Secretary, Government of Nagaland permits the following activities with immediate effect:

Food processing industries & Industries operating in rural areas including stone crushers, saw mills, brick kilns i.e., outside the limits of Municipal corporations and Municipalities.

Construction activities in rural areas, to include, water supply and sanitation, laying/errection of power transmission lines and laying of telecom optical fiber and cable along with related activities.

Collection, harvesting and processing of Mineral Forest Products (MFP) / Non Timber Forest Products (NTFP) by scheduled tribes and other forest dwellers in forest areas.

Shops of educational books for students, shops of electric fans, recharge facilities for prepaid mobile connection.

Functioning of food processing units such as bread factories, milk processing plants, flour mills, daal mills etc. located in urban areas.

Functioning of research establishment dealing with agriculture and horticulture activities.

Inter and intra state movements of planting materials and honeybee colonies, honey and other bee hives products.

Bamboo, coconut, Areca Nut, Coca, spices plantation and their harvesting, processing, packing, sale and marketing.

However, as specified in the lockdown measures, National Covid-19 directives and standard operating procedure for social distancing for offices, workshops, factories, establishment and farms must be ensured, added the order.
