Kohima, August 02 (NEx): Nagaland reported 104 new COVID positive cases today, August 02, 2020, taking the State tally to 1935, updated Nagaland Health Minister S Pangnyu Phom at 06:05 pm.
Taking to twitter, Pangnyu Phom updated that, out of 383 samples tested, 104 new COVID-19 positive cases have been confirmed.
Among the new COVID-19 confirmed positive cases, 62 cases are in Dimapur, 18 in Zunheboto, 17 in Kohima, 5 in Wokha and 1 each in Mon & Phek district. Contact tracing are fully activated – updates the Health Minister, today.

With 104 new cases, the total number of confirmed COVID-19 positive cases in Nagaland rises to 1935 today. Among the confirmed cases, 648 patients have recovered from COVID-19 and 2 patients migrated. The active cases in the state now stands at 1279. The state has reported the death of 6 COVID patients. Among this, one death is not due to COVID-19, and another deceased had Co-morbidities and is under investigation, as per the COVID-19 bulletin on August 02, 2020.
Among the 1287 active COVID-19 cases in Nagaland, 709 patients are undergoing treatment at Dimapur, 373 at Kohima, 110 at Mon, 21 at Peren, 4 at Tuensang, 14 at Phek and 11 at Mokokchung, 25 at Zunheboto and 12 at Wokha district.
Kiphire district in Nagaland is the only COVID-19 free district with zero case reported till today. Meanwhile, Longleng district has also become COVID-19 free district, as all three positive patients recovered from COVID-19.
