Kohima, June 26 (NE): Nagaland reported sixteen (16) new COVID-19 positive cases today, June 26, 2020, taking the total count in the State to 371.
Out of 539 samples tested for COVID-19, sixteen (16) new positive cases confirmed, said an update from Nagaland Health Minister S Pangnyu Phom at around 09:20 am today.
Out of the new sixteen positive cases for COVID-19, fifteen (15) cases are from Kohima quarantine centre, and one (1) from Peren quarantine centre, tweeted Pangnyu.
With sixteen (16) new COVID-19 positive cases, the total number of confirmed cases rises to 371 today. Among the confirmed cases, 160 patients have recovered from COVID-19 taking the active cases in the state to 211, updated Nagaland Health Minister, S Pangnyu Phom.
16 new cases of COVID-19 +ve have been reported out of 539 samples tested. 15 patients from Kohima QC & 1 from Peren QC.

Yesterday, five (5) positive cases were reported among the frontline workers in Nagaland, all of these cases are local transmission, as they have contracted through contact with the high risk returnees. Among this five cases, four (4) are bus drivers in duty at quarantine centre and one (1) is a staff at NHAK.
