Nagaland Covid-19 patient recovering well; Assam Health Minister

Kohima, April 19 (NE): Amid confusion and speculation about Nagaland Covid-19 patient who is currently undergoing treatment at Guwahati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), in Assam, Health Minister today updated that the patient is recovering well.

Replying to a question asked by a student on the update of Nagaland Covid-19 patient undergoing treatment at Guwahati in Twitter, Assam Health Minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma, said that ‘he is recovering well.’

A patient referred from Dimapur, Nagaland was tested positive for Covid-19 in Guwahati, Assam on April 12, 2020. It’s been seven days now the patient is undergoing treatment at GMCH.

Last update from Nagaland Health Minister, S Pangnyu Phom, on April 14, 2020 also said that the condition of the Covid-19 patient from Nagaland is stable and he is in ICU, GMCH for further observations.

Meanwhile, there is no update from Assam Health Minister or medical authorities on the second test results of the Covid-19 patient from Nagaland till the time of filing this report.
