Kohima, August 09 (NEx): Nagaland reported 93 new COVID positive cases and 11 recoveries from COVID-19, today, August 09, 2020, updates Nagaland COVID-19 daily bulletin issued by Dr. Denis Hangsing, Additional Director, Health and Family Welfare, Government of Nagaland.
Nagaland Health Minister, S Pangnyu Phom, in his tweet updated that, out of 800 samples tested, 93 new COVID-19 positive cases have been confirmed.
Necessary contact tracing have been activated and all primary contacts are under self isolation – updates the Health Minister.

62 in Dimapur, 20 in Kohima, 8 in Peren, 2 in Mon & 1 in Zunheboto.
Contact tracing is fully put in force & all primary contacts are kept under self isolation to avoid further transmission.

Among the 93 new COVID-19 positive cases confirmed, 62 cases are in Dimapur, 20 in Kohima, 8 in Peren, 2 in Mon and 1 in Zunheboto district.
Out of 93 new postive cases reported today, 42 positive cases are among Armed Force personnel, 16 returnees, 28 traced contacts and 7 frontline workers, informed the State Nodal Officer for Integrated Disease Surveillance Programme, H&FW.
With 93 new cases, the total number of confirmed COVID-19 positive cases in Nagaland rises to 2781 today. Among the confirmed cases, 904 patients have recovered from COVID-19, including the 11 patients who recovered today.
The State has reported one more death of COVID positive patient today, taking the death toll in the state to 8. Among that, one COVID positive patient’s death is not due to COVID-19, the patient had co-morbidities, informed the COVID-19 bulletin.
