Kohima, June 16 (NE): Nagaland recovery from COVID-19 turns out to be the best in India, probably in the world as well, around 26 patients who tested positive for COVID-19 in Nagaland has recovered in just 9 days. As per a report from AIR Kohima, Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio said that the “fast recovery” of COVID-19 in the state, is because of the strong immune system of the patients.
As on June 16, 2020, Nagaland recorded 103 cases of recovery from COVID-19, in which around 26 patients have been recovered in a short span of 9 days, according to Nagaland Government data published by Health & Family Welfare Department.
On June 13, 2020, Nagaland recorded a total of 76 recovery from COVID-19. Whereas, 10 days ahead, on June 03, 2020 Nagaland has only 58 positive cases for COVID-19. As per the Health and Family Welfare, GoN data among the total 76 recovery reported on June 13, 2020 – 18 patients have recovered within 9 days time.
On June 14, 2020, Nagaland recorded a total of 88 recovery from COVID-19. Whereas, 10 days ahead, on June 04, 2020, Nagaland has only 80 positive cases for COVID-19.
With this recovery, Nagaland might be standing at the top of the table for fastest recovery from COVID-19 in India. Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio said that the “fast recovery” of COVID-19 patients in the state, is because of the strong immune system of the patients.
Most of those who tested positive for COVID-19 in the State are asymptomatic in the age group of 17 to 44 years and because of the strong immunity, their recovery is faster, said CM Rio in a press conference held at Secretariat on Monday, June 15, 2020.
Nagaland reported its first COVID-19 positive case on May 25, 2020. Within 23 days, now the confirmed number of positive cases in the State stands at 179. Among the total cases, 103 patients recovered from COVID-19. Active cases in the State stands at 76, with 57% recovery rate from Coronavirus.
