Kohima, June 04 (NE): Nagaland reported its highest one day spike, with twenty two (22) new COVID-19 positive cases today, June 04, 2020, taking the total count in the state to 80.
Taking to twitter, Health Minister, Pangnyu Phom said, ‘Out of 171 samples tested at Naga Hospital Authority Kohima and Dibrugarh, 22 more returnees from Chennai tested positive for COVID-19.
A total of 121 samples were tested at BSL-3 lab at Naga Hospital Authority Kohima, out of which 11 results turned positive for COVID-19, while out 50 samples tested in Dibrugarh, 11 tested positive for COVID-19.
Among the 22 new COVID-19 positive patients, eighteen (18) are male and four (4) female.

So far, there are 80 positive cases for COVID-19 reported in the State. All cases are active as on 08:15 am, June 03, 2020.
All the COVID-19 cases reported in the state so far are imported, from among the stranded persons of Nagaland who returned from Chennai in a Shramik special train on May 22, 2020.
