Mokokchung reports first COVID-19 positive case, State tally at 459 - updates Nagaland Health Minister S Pangnyu Phom today, June 30, 2020

Kohima, June 30 (NE): Mokokchung reported its first COVID-19 positive case today. The State tally reached 459 with 8 new cases today, June 30, 2020.

Taking to twitter, Nagaland Health Minister S Pangnyu Phom updated that eight (8) new COVID-19 positive cases were detected in the State today, June 30, 2020.

Out of 8 new positive cases for COVID-19, 6 patients are from Jakhama Military Quarantine centre, 1 from Dimapur Quarantine centre and 1 from Mokokchung Quarantine centre – tweeted Pangnyu at 12:10 pm today.

With eight (8) new COVID-19 positive cases, the total number of confirmed cases rises to 459 today. Among the confirmed cases, 168 patients have recovered from COVID-19 and the active cases in the state stands at 292. There has been no fatalities in the State due to COVID-19, updated Health Minister.

Earlier, an update from Health Minister S Pangnyu Phom at 10:30 am mentioned the State tally as 460. It was corrected in another tweet at around 12:10 pm, also the correction tweet mentioned that Jakhama Quarantine centre should also read as Jakhama Military Quarantine centre.

Among the 292 active COVID-19 cases in Nagaland, 53 patients are undergoing treatment at Dimapur, 92 at Kohima, 38 at Mon, 83 at Peren, 20 at Tuensang, 3 at Zunheboto, 1 each at Phek and Mokokchung district.

Nagaland extended the lockdown till July 15, 2020. This was decided in a cabinet meeting held on Monday under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio.
