Kohima, January 28 (NE): Mizoram clinched their third North East Dr T Ao Trophy by 1-0 win over Sikkim in the final match played at IG Stadium, Kohima, today, January 28, 2020 and walks away with the Trophy and cash prize of rupees 10,00,000, while runners-up Sikkim walks away with a cash prize of Rupees 6,00,000.
In a closely fought final match after a goalless first half, David Lalrinmuana (No. 17) scored the winning goal for the Mizoram team at 74th minute of the game.

Two time champion, Mizoram played their 5th North East Dr T Ao Trophy final today- earlier they played finals in the year 2010, 2011, 2012, 2014 and won the tittle two times in 2011 and 2014.
While Sikkim played their third North East Dr T Ao Trophy final today – earlier they played final in the year 2011 and 2016.
