Kohima, October 15 (NEx): The Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) today, October 15, announced their candidate for the forthcoming State assembly by-election for 14 Southern Angami – 1 constituency.
The NDPP in a felicitation cum ticket ceremony program held at party’s region office in Kohima announced, Mr Medo Yhokha, former PRO to the Speaker Nagaland Legislative Assembly as the party’s Candidate for the 14th southern Angami-1 Assembly constituency.
NDPP President, Chingwang Konyak, handed over the party ticket to Yhokha in the presence of NDPP Founder & Chief Minister, Neiphiu Rio, BJP senior leader & the Deputy Chief Minister, Y Patton, BJP Nagaland State President and Minister for Higher & Technical Education, Temjen Imna Along, NDPP Secretary General, Abu Metha and other dignitaries.
The by-election for 14 – Southern Angami – 1 and 60-Pungro- Kiphire constituencies in Nagaland are scheduled for November 03, 2020 to fill vacancies of two Assembly constituencies in the State Legislative Assembly. Counting will take place on November 10, 2020.
Earlier today, the Naga Peoples Front, announced Kikovi Kirha, as party candidate to contest in the bye-election at the 14 Southern Angami (1) Assembly Constituency.
