Kohima, February 5 (NE): Lotha Mhonka Okho (LMO) has welcomed the statement of Deputy Chief Minister Shri. Y. Patton at the 51st Lotha Students’ Union (LSU) General Conference which was held at Merapani, through a press release issued by the LMO President, Merithung Odyuo on February 5, 2020.
In a press release, LMO stated that the organization has in the year 2017, Dated September 22, exposed the unfair practices and the manipulation by the NPSC at the interview stage of the NCS, NPS & Allied services examination 2015, where meritorious and deserving candidates from the Lotha community were denied of their position. The organization has exposed how the commission has manipulated the NCS, NPS & Allied services examination 2015 interview marks. It is a reminder to all that out of the six candidates who scored 400 marks and above in the mains examination, there was one Lotha candidate.
Interestingly, everyone secured Class-1 position (All EAC), except the Lotha candidate. Again out of the nine candidates who scored between 390-399 marks in the mains examination, there were three Lotha candidates, more interestingly everyone secured Class-1 position (2 EAC & 4 Dy. SP), except the three Lotha candidates.
With bitter experience of injustice meted out to the Lotha community, it is a welcome statement when the Dy. CM at the 51st Lotha Students’ Union (LSU) General Conference told the students not to be disheartened by the past experience and encouraged the students to work more hard and approach him if they feel any injustice is being meted out to any of the meritorious and deserving candidates from the community, as in the past. He told the students to be more courageous and face the examinations with more confidence as he assured that justice will be done to all the deserving candidates, stated the press release.
LMO has thanked the Dy. CM for encouraging the students’ community as it will boost their confidence and they will be more determined to work hard, leaving the past bitter experiences, in achieving their goals, it added.
